The rig in this picture had two 1x12 cabinets driven by a cathode biased 2x6L6 amp. When Bruce Collins and I developed the Mission Chicago 32-20 amp we used my vintage Masco ME-18 amp as a starting point. The Mission amp owes much of its distinctive character and tone to the 50s Masco design. Megatone Amps has also produced a amp on the Masco theme. It's a good place to start.
