Little Walter playing through a Masco amp

Little Walter often played through whatever amp was available. It is known that he played through Masco amps from time to time. The rig in this picture had two 1x12 cabinets driven by a cathode biased 2x6L6 amp. When Bruce Collins and I developed the Mission Chicago 32-20 amp we used my vintage Masco ME-18 amp as a starting point. The Mission amp owes much of its distinctive character and tone to the 50s Masco design. Megatone Amps has also produced a amp on the Masco theme. It's a good place to start. Little Walter knew something about harp tone...

New from WEZO

Megatone Amps has added a 10-inch version of their Masco ME-18 knockoff. It's in the center of the picture above. Compact and loud, 30 watts... I've been hearing great things about this amp.

Here is the amp next to a tweed Fender Harvard. Nice compact size for such a powerful amp.

Nic Clark at the IBC in Memphis

Here is the amazing part: Nic is playing a stock Fender Deville 410 amp from the backline. BTW, everybody in this band is 18 years of age or younger. They are playing in the finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis tonight.
